Writing a job post that gets great proposals

Good posts get better proposals. Include:

  1. The goal — what should exist when the work is done?
  2. What you already have — designs, an API, an existing codebase, access you can give.
  3. Scope and must-haves — features, platforms, integrations.
  4. Timeline and budget — even a range helps.
  5. One or two screening questions — for example, ask for a similar project they built.

Avoid sharing passwords or private data in the post; share them in the contract room once you hire.
